Gradual lighting effects simulate the rhythm of ocean currents, immersing visitors in a flow that feels like being surrounded by water.

The smooth, flowing light patterns also resemble the trajectory of a pitched baseball, creating a unique interplay between oceanic and sporting themes.

The shimmering waves of the ocean are brought to life through dynamic light strips installed along the entry tunnel. These flowing lights symbolize the movement of seawater, enriched with elements of marine life. As visitors pass through, the changing colors and vibrant marine-inspired scenery create the illusion of diving into a mysterious underwater world, dancing alongside aquatic creatures.

Moving through the waves, visitors step deeper into the ocean. As they walk through the space, the colors of the waves shift gradually from soft hues to brighter tones.

Sounds of waves crashing enhance the immersive experience, evoking the rhythm and vitality of the ocean.

Around the waves, light installations inspired by baseball motions and actions merge the energy of the sport with the dynamism of the ocean, creating delightful surprises.

Inspired by the spirit of baseball, a series of color-changing light strips are arranged to form ball-shaped installations, mimicking the layout of a baseball field. 

When visitors activate the interactive buttons, the lights flow dynamically, simulating the trajectory of a flying baseball. This feature allows participants to experience the thrill and excitement of a baseball game, indirectly encouraging them to engage with the sport and sparking an interest in its dynamic energy.

The interactive process fosters a sense of connection between the participant and the game of baseball. The lighting effects vividly capture the motion of a bat striking the ball, evoking the energy and passion that define the sport. 

Stepping into the ballpark, visitors are immersed in the electrifying energy of athletes. Baseball, with its unique rhythm, intensity, and spirit of challenge, has captivated audiences worldwide. Drawing inspiration from these traits, the installation features interactive stepping pads designed to mimic the excitement of a live game. When visitors step on the baseball-shaped panels, the lights react dynamically, changing colors with each step. These shifting lights recreate the vibrant atmosphere of a cheering stadium, complete with the tension and exhilaration of a real game.

Combining the rapid flow of digital information with the essence of the ocean, this installation uses an array of LED screens arranged in all directions to create an immersive, ocean-like environment. Visitors can interact with physical buttons to trigger captivating effects, such as bubbles and marine life projections, adding a dynamic and engaging layer to the experience.

As visitors interact, the installation dynamically evolves, creating an immersive digital experience.

In the vast ocean, teeming with diverse marine life, the concept for this exhibit is inspired by groups of jellyfish, imagined as guardians of the ocean. Through auditory interaction, visitors can activate the changing colors of the jellyfish installations. The vibrant hues of the jellyfish clusters bring the entire exhibit to life, allowing participants to experience the joy of exploring an underwater world firsthand.

When visitors clap or make sounds, these actions trigger the gradual color transitions of the jellyfish lights, illustrating the harmony and vitality of jellyfish communities. This interaction also hints at the symbolic connection between jellyfish and the protective embrace of seashells.

Taking coral reefs as the inspiration for its design, the exhibit features an ocean-themed immersive installation. At night, when illuminated, the installation displays a spectrum of colorful lights, creating a stark contrast between its daytime and nighttime appearances. This symbolizes the transformative beauty and diversity of ocean life.

The mesmerizing light effects offer a fantastical and dynamic visual experience, while simultaneously raising awareness about marine ecology. They encourage visitors to reflect on the intricate interactions between nature and light.

Blending the spirit of challenge and adventure found in baseball games, this installation seamlessly merges the dynamic motion of the ocean with the energy of baseball. It unites the passion of the game with the freedom of the sea, embodying the limitless possibilities of challenge and innovation.

Projected light imagery intertwines the movement of baseball with the rhythmic waves of the ocean, symbolizing the vibrancy of life itself.

Giant Baseball Installation:
This dual-display masterpiece combines static presentation with light-sculpting techniques, representing a heartfelt tribute to the passion and spirit of baseball!

Every evening on the hour and half-hour, the installation comes alive with a dazzling 3-minute performance, combining sound effects and dramatic lighting for a breathtaking spectacle.

Using LED light strings, visitors not only become participants but also integral parts of the light show. While enjoying the stunning visual effects, they can experience the ocean’s mystery and beauty combined with the empowering spirit of baseball. This creates a magical atmosphere that captivates audiences of all ages.

Throughout the venue, dynamic laser projections depict various marine elements, accompanied by the sounds of different sea creatures. These features enhance the immersive experience, making visitors feel as though they are surrounded by the tranquil blue of the ocean. The incorporation of baseball elements further allows participants to connect with the inspiring spirit of the game.

Dancing Lights Performance: Daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with a 3-minute performance every 15 minutes.

The installation comprises a variety of illuminated marine creatures, each uniquely designed to represent the richness and diversity of ocean life. Through gentle lighting effects, the exhibit recreates the enchanting beauty of the ocean at night. Each marine creature is meticulously designed to capture its unique characteristics and movements. Paired with dynamic color-changing lights, the installation simulates the graceful motions of marine life in water, transporting visitors into a fantastical underwater world.

The pathways are designed to simulate underwater ripples, paired with soft lighting that evokes the sensation of gently gliding your hands over the shimmering surface of the sea.

“Clown is Dreaming” features a Ferris wheel that symbolizes freedom and joy, setting the stage for a lively circus performance. Each cabin, with its outstretched arms, carries the clown’s innocent imagination, inviting the audience on a fantastical journey. Inspired by the bustling scenes at Taoyuan Airport, the concept represents soaring dreams, echoing the glowing imagery of the Ferris wheel. Hop on this ride, soar over the Aviation City, return to a carefree childhood, and experience pure joy!

“Moon is Singing” is a vibrant maze installation, which reflects a childhood circus amusement park. The inclusivity of a diverse society stems from mutual understanding and recognition among different groups. Only through gaining awareness of each other's cultural values can true recognition be achieved, paving the way for the creation of a harmonious and multicultural society.

The process of moving from awareness to recognition is like looking into a mirror. While observing others, we also reflect on ourselves, gaining a deeper understanding of our own shortcomings and appreciating others' strengths. This mutual insight fosters growth and progress within the entire community.

Architecture reflects the unique characteristics and habits of different regions and cultures. For instance, the stilted buildings of southern China and the traditional homes of Taiwan’s Atayal people exhibit distinct regional and cultural features. When people migrate to new lands, they often develop architectural forms that differ from those of their original homes.

This creation draws inspiration from Taiwan's rich multicultural identity and its spirit of mutual acceptance. By integrating diverse architectural styles, the design incorporates an inverted structure that resembles the shape of Taiwan.  The mirrored surface at the base symbolizes the process of understanding others, recognizing cultural values, reflecting on oneself, and ultimately achieving mutual recognition and acceptance.

Furthermore, the concept of "home" serves as the fundamental unit where individuals come together, forming families and eventually communities. The artwork connects mirrored images of different cultural architectures, creating a continuous and interwoven visual, symbolizing the fusion of diverse groups that drives a city's enduring development.

"Dancers of Time" draws inspiration from the deconstruction of motion, breaking down dance movements into a sequence of images. This evokes the origins of photography and motion imagery, capturing the essence of movement in its purest form.

Guided by interwoven beams of light, dynamic figures endlessly repeat their eternal motions, creating a rhythmic choreography that reflects the pulse of life and tradition.

The work is themed around Múa nón, a traditional Vietnamese conical hat dance rich in cultural symbolism. This dance showcases the gentle grace and unique imagery of Vietnamese women, portraying their elegance and cultural identity in a timeless visual celebration.

Through the seamless fusion of light, motion, and cultural narrative, this piece pays tribute to Múa nón while offering a contemporary exploration of memory, identity, and movement.

"Mythical Island: A Mountain of Fallen Leaves" draws its inspiration from the form of a leaf, symbolizing the nutrients that merge with Taiwan’s land to sustain life.  The large, gentle leaf cradles an island, representing Taiwan. The island’s design, resembling a towering mountain, conveys the steadfastness of Taiwan's land while highlighting its capacity to embrace and integrate diverse cultures and communities from around the world.

Each side of the piece is adorned with themes from Thai mythology, specifically the Naga and the Garuda, hand-drawn by the artist and intricately perforated into the structure with meticulous craftsmanship.  As night falls, light emanates from within the artwork, casting patterns through the perforations and projecting cultural motifs onto the surroundings. These luminous imprints honor the cultural heritage of Thailand in Taiwan and symbolize Taiwan’s inclusive spirit and acceptance of diverse beliefs and traditions.

Through the transmission of light and shadow, the artwork allows viewers to experience the faith and culture carried by these mythical symbols while inspiring reflections on how Taiwan has become a welcoming land where different cultures find a sense of belonging.

The culture of military dependents' villages is a unique and significant part of Taiwan’s history. As one of the cities with the highest concentration of these villages, Taoyuan has seen many undergo urban renewal. To preserve this valuable cultural heritage, the city has revitalized and repurposed some villages, maintaining historical memories through the "Military Dependents' Village Triangle."

This installation celebrates Taoyuan’s military dependents' village culture by incorporating the architectural and visual elements of prominent villages such as Taiwu New Village, Xianguang Second Village, and Matsu New Village. These elements are reimagined through lantern art, echoing the transformation of many villages into cultural and creative hubs. The design bridges the past and present, preserving the vibrant cultural value of these spaces while reflecting their historical significance.

The Minnan (Hoklo) community, the largest ethnic group in Taiwan, has profoundly shaped the island’s cultural and historical heritage. From festive customs and architectural styles to arts and crafts, the Minnan influence has contributed to the vibrant and diverse culture of Taiwan.

At the dawn of a new year, this lantern art creation invites people to reflect on the perseverance of early settlers who braved great challenges to build lives and homes in Taiwan. The artwork incorporates elements of Minnan architecture, dragon dances, and fireworks, which are hallmarks of joyful celebrations. It also highlights traditional symbols of good fortune, such as spring flower ornaments, turtle petitions for peace, and other meaningful customs.

In indigenous mythology, Ina is revered as the sun and the nurturing mother of the earth, embodying a spirit of resilience, passion, greatness, and permanence. 

The artwork draws inspiration from Ina’s image, merging modern design with traditional culture. Featuring the totemic elements of various Indigenous groups, the installation creates a unique cultural identity and aesthetic, embodying the spiritual pillar of Indigenous peoples, serving as a symbol of vitality and inspiration.

The radiance of the piece extends to every corner of the lantern zone, symbolizing Ina’s warm embrace of all present.  An LED screen shaped like an eye conveys cultural messages and imagery, expressing the Indigenous peoples’ deep love and reverence for life. This inspiring design encourages viewers, offering boundless hope and courage to all who encounter it.

The artwork "Pulse" reflects the Indigenous way of life, rooted in nature and shaped by the land. Drawing inspiration from the Mataian Wetlands in Guangfu Township, Hualien, it uses local wetland plants to recreate the ecological landscape of the area. Through layers of vibrant vegetation, the piece constructs a depiction of Maxi Mountain, bringing the essence of this unique environment to life in a new setting.

The Amis people, who refer to themselves as "Children of the Sun," hold a deep cultural connection to the sun in their folklore. In this artwork, light symbolizes the sun’s warm rays, illuminating the changing landscapes of the Mataian Wetlands. It also represents movement through forests and nature, evoking the harmonious relationship between people and their surroundings.  

Within the installation, seasonal edible wild plants are showcased, highlighting the Amis’ cultural connection to foraging and the culinary traditions of wild greens. Visitors are invited to step into the mountain forest, experience the wetlands’ rich ecosystem, water and nurture the plants, and share in the rich bounty provided by the Earth. 

In traditional culture, the chicken is revered as a bird of virtue and known as the "bird of time." In the past, people would rise with the rooster’s crow, symbolizing the enduring spirit of diligence passed down through generations. This cultural symbol is further exemplified by the Hakka community, renowned for their spirit of diligence and perseverance. Additionally, the Chinese pronunciation of "chicken" (雞) is phonetically similar to "auspicious" (吉), which is why chickens have traditionally been seen as symbols of good fortune. In Hakka wedding customs, chickens also carry the symbolic meaning of guidance and leadership.

At the start of a new year, in Taoyuan City—home to the largest Hakka population in Taiwan—the chicken, representing both prosperity and the spirit of diligence, takes center stage as the inspiration for this artwork. Beyond conveying auspicious blessings for the New Year, this work embodies the essence of Hakka culture, encouraging visitors to embrace a year of progress, perseverance, and determination.

The artwork is crafted primarily from stainless steel sheets, with Hakka nursery rhymes playing in the background to enrich the cultural atmosphere. The lyrics of these nursery rhymes are also incorporated into the base of the installation. At night, the artwork radiates multi-colored light from within, with its mirrored base reflecting and amplifying the glow to present the entire piece in a luminous display. During the day, sunlight interacts with the reflective stainless steel material, making the installation shimmer brilliantly. Whether by day or night, the piece showcases its unique characteristics and dynamic appearance.

The installation "Blessed Path" explores the interplay between light, shadow, material, and texture. The layered shapes, enhanced by the glow of neon lights, reflect a contemplation of the dual themes of "Blessings" (symbolizing blessings and luck) and "Path" (representing journeys or connections).

Crafted from colorful acrylic, the artwork takes the form of a series of paper airplanes. Each plane is engraved with maps and immigration stamps from various Asian countries, accompanied by short blessing phrases in multiple languages.  These designs were created in collaboration between the artist and their international students, hailing from countries such as Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Mongolia. The artwork symbolizes wishes for happiness, smooth journeys, and the unity and connection between cultures.

From a distance, the artwork resembles paper airplanes poised to take flight, symbolizing the journey of new immigrants who have left their homelands to start anew in Taiwan, ready to soar once more over their new home. The exhibition location, situated near Taoyuan International Airport, further emphasizes the geographical and cultural connections represented by the artwork.  The airplanes not only serve as messengers of happiness and blessings but also symbolize the freedom and aspiration of soaring through the skies.

This installation features a table of light and translucent spaces, creating an immersive experience that integrates light and shadow with all five senses. The concept is centered on the act of sharing a meal, with the interplay of light representing the blending and exchange of cultures. The table becomes a gathering point, where light radiates outward, symbolizing connection and transformation. Each participant becomes a "light," bringing the lantern to life with their interaction.

Inspired by Hakka tea culture, the design draws from the circular bamboo trays traditionally used for tea roasting. It combines traditional craftsmanship with modern spatial design, offering a unique blend of heritage and innovation.

The artwork is accompanied by performance art that evokes the essence of tea aromas. During the exhibition, a limited daily event invites visitors to step inside, enjoy tea, and experience a "culinary sculpture" that marries nature and light. This event highlights the connection between humanity and the natural world, encouraging an appreciation for life’s finer details. Through the warm exchange of tea, the installation conveys cultural memories, allowing visitors to feel the sensory richness and intimacy of the tea experience. 

Taiwan is a captivating island rich in resources and cultural diversity, where various Indigenous groups have flourished and developed vibrant lifestyles. Through this artwork, the artist vividly portrays the weaving and hunting traditions of Indigenous communities, celebrating their unique ways of life and deep connection to the land.

On one side of the installation, a woman is depicted bowing her head as she winds thread, while a warrior carries a wild boar on his back and fresh fish in his hand. These two figures are connected by the Tree of Life and the Siliq bird, forming an arch-like gateway that symbolizes welcome and unity. On the reverse side of the arch, the woman’s vibrant red skirt is adorned with intricately woven, colorful fabrics, while the warrior’s waist features a traditional fish trap. Together, these elements reflect the resilience and lively spirit of Indigenous peoples, celebrating their generational dedication to hard work, which has blossomed into a vibrant and flourishing expression of life.

The concept of the artwork "Prayers for a Bountiful Year" is inspired by the architectural features of the Amis Tribe’s Tafalong granaries. The distinctive X-shaped roof and slanted supports are reimagined into bamboo structures with varying inclinations. These X-shaped units are connected by horizontal beams and feature an extended entrance as the primary framework. The work features a tunnel-like space formed by triangular translucent fabric and diamond-shaped fishing nets. The lighting alternates between ocean-inspired and bamboo lantern-inspired modes, guiding visitors into the exhibit.

The intersecting X-shapes, resembling hands in prayer, symbolize gratitude for the harvest of the past year and hopes for abundance in the year ahead.

The interplay of light and shadow reawakens and purifies the senses, leading guests through an immersive journey where the main lantern can be seen in the distance.

Prayers for a Bountiful Year honors Indigenous cultural traditions while embracing ongoing creativity and renewal, reflecting the enduring legacy of Taiwan’s Indigenous peoples.

The installation, "Echoing Heritage," takes inspiration from traditional Hakka music, which embodies the perseverance and cultural heritage of the Hakka people. Over generations, this music has shaped the unique and profound cultural identity of Taiwan’s Hakka community, standing as one of the most cherished gifts passed down by their ancestors.

The design of Echoing Heritage features an expanding series of concentric light rings from top to bottom, symbolizing the Hakka people's enduring resilience and the transmission of their cultural spirit through music and wisdom. These ripples represent the gradual spreading of Hakka heritage to future generations and beyond. During the day, the sculpture resembles a traditional Hakka instrument, specifically the suona, reflecting the significance of Hakka musical traditions. At night, the installation comes alive with changing lights synchronized with contemporary Hakka pop music composed by Yu-Wei Hsieh. This fusion of tradition and modernity creates a distinctive style, celebrating the timeless and evolving essence of Hakka culture.

"Glorious Indonesia: Garuda, the Golden-Winged Bird" features the Garuda, a symbol of significant cultural importance in Indonesian tradition, perched atop a mountain-shaped base.

Indonesia, known as a nation of mountains and islands, shares its geographical features with Taiwan, an island nation. The Garuda spreading its wings over the mountain-shaped terrain symbolizes the blending and integration of cultures between Indonesia and Taiwan. It conveys the idea that, regardless of where one is, both lands can be embraced as home, inspiring courage to grow, thrive, and soar boldly into new horizons.

The artwork is complemented by a base featuring the map of Indonesia as its central visual element. This is seamlessly integrated with traditional batik patterns, showcasing the rich diversity and vibrant cultural identity of Indonesia in a captivating and engaging way.

This artwork draws inspiration from the diverse Hakka communities in Taoyuan, focusing on three distinct groups: the Coastal Hakka, known for their openness and inclusivity; the Mountain Hakka, who live in harmony with nature; and the Urban Hakka, who embody innovation and adaptability. By integrating contemporary interactive technology, the piece reimagines and breathes new life into the cultural characteristics of these three Hakka groups.

The visual design symbolizes each group’s way of life: the Coastal Hakka’s inclusiveness and openness, the Mountain Hakka’s symbiosis with nature, and the Urban Hakka’s capacity for innovation and adaptation. Through dynamic lighting and interactive elements, the installation revitalizes traditional culture, making it resonate in modern times. When viewers interact with the piece by squeezing its components, the lights change, metaphorically awakening the spirit and memories of these Hakka communities. Soft glows and sounds emerge, creating a sensory dialogue between the installation and the audience. Adding to the dreamlike atmosphere, bubbles rise from the top of the piece, representing the continuous legacy and dynamic vitality of the Coastal, Mountain, and Urban Hakka communities as they evolve, integrate, and thrive through the ages.

His daily life is nothing but sleeping and eating! He is a big eater who can devour up to 400 kilograms of food in a single day. He simply lies there comfortably every day, living an enviable life.

This isn't just another art piece – it's a visual storytelling of rural life. The massive, delicate peaches illuminated with dazzling lights, creating an interactive experience that catches everyone's eye. Each peach seems to whisper to the audience: rural development isn't just about growing crops, it's about creating a harmonious balance between production, life, and ecology. This playful and imaginative artwork offers a fresh perspective on sustainable rural development. It celebrates local uniqueness, creates a distinctive community atmosphere, and shows how every piece of land can shine in its own special way. The artwork transforms an ordinary agricultural product into a powerful narrative about community, creativity, and connection to the land.

Inspired by the rich and diverse ecology of Chintan Park, we created an interesting interactive lighting installation here. Everyone is invited to touch the aperture and capture the beauty of the moment in the flashing lights. Through this device, we will be able to concentrate on perspectives that are usually imperceptible. Outside the aperture, there are flowers and plants, the prosperity nourished by the earth, and infinite beautiful scenery, waiting for us to find out. When visiting this expansive Chintan Kingdom, be sure to capture the perfect photo.

Once, people drew energy from the ponds, and the land responded with both stability and unexpected gifts, forging a close, interdependent relationship. Today, reflecting Chintan Park's history as a vital hub of agricultural production, the artwork "MOMOJUU" emerges as a whimsical creature born from these very ponds. The artwork captivates with its unique design while embracing the vision of rural regeneration. The concept seamlessly integrates the strengths of Taoyuan's bamboo craftsmanship industry, promoting the reuse of agricultural materials to raise sustainability awareness and serving as a cornerstone for cultural creativity. By blending light art with the rural charm of Taoyuan, "MOMOJUU" exudes a rugged yet lively presence. It stands as a quiet guardian of the land while inviting playful souls to engage with it. Together, visitors are inspired to use their imagination to uncover the abundant energy of Chintan Park, bridging its past, present, and future.

Celebrated as the "Land of a Thousand Ponds," the pond system of Taoyuan, as a significant landscape feature, has historically played a vital role in shaping local agriculture, culture, and economy. The interactive game "Irrigation and Farm Ponds" draws inspiration from the themes of "irrigation and growth." The design seeks to revive, reflect on, and pass down the cultural heritage of the ponds through hands-on activities. By activating a manual pump on the platform, beams of light begin to flow, mimicking the absorption of nutrients from the waters of Chintan Park. The warm yellow light transitions from stillness to dynamic patterns, echoing the park's historical role in agriculture while symbolizing the unveiling of its vibrant vitality. This transformation reflects the energy and life that these cultural landscapes once brought to the local agricultural ecosystem.

The artwork "The Light of 1000 Ponds" revives forgotten ponds, exploring how memories connect us to lost landscapes. Through "Celestial Ponds," "Light Cascades," and "Disappearance," the installation poses profound questions about how humans coexist with nature. The Celestial Ponds resemble countless pools of light suspended in midair, capturing the historical essence of traditional ponds while subtly evoking the fading of cultural landscapes. Meanwhile, the Light Cascades connect these luminous ponds with shifting and disappearing words, which carry deep meaning and prompt the question, "Who is truly speaking?" At its core, the artwork invites reflection on the delicate balance between disappearance and existence. It offers a visually breathtaking experience while gently leading the audience into a meditative state, contemplating the fragility and timelessness of life.

In 2025, the Year of the Snake arrives, featuring an intercalary sixth month that brings two Spring Beginnings—a phenomenon locals dub the "Double-Headed Snake Year". Embracing this unique symbolism, the "Strange Creatures" project creates artworks with double heads, presenting an abstract and open-ended imagination that sparks reflection on natural diversity. The artwork integrates AR experience, which offers boundless interactive possibilities. It transforms people from spectators into explorers, unveiling hidden visual surprises. Harmonizing with the Chintan Park landscape, the project invites audiences to reinterpret the intersection of environment and technology from a fresh perspective. It demonstrates how art and technology can collaboratively construct a storytelling journey that transcends spatial limitations.

Established in 1974, the temple has a history spanning over 50 years. The temple's principal deity, Guansheng Dijun (Holy Emperor Guan), is enshrined in the form of a revered 300-year-old statue. Other deities worshipped include Guanyin Bodhisattva, Wenchang Dijun, Earth God of Wealth and Merit (Fude Zhengshen), and General Marshal of Wealth (Xuantan Yuanshuai). The temple has become a central place of worship and community gathering in the area. The temple exudes an air of majestic solemnity, with its intricately carved beams, painted rafters, and soaring eaves showcasing traditional craftsmanship. Located near Taoyuan International Airport and Zhuwei Fishing Harbor, it is renowned for its spiritual efficacy. Revered as the "God of Wealth of the Aerotropolis" and the "Guardian Deity of the Airport MRT Line", the temple holds a special place in the hearts of worshippers seeking blessings and protection. The temple showcases an innovative approach to honoring the sixty Tai Sui deities. Traditionally, 60 separate statues would be carved, with one deity taking turns presiding each year, requiring 60 years to complete a full cycle. In a unique departure, all sixty Tai Sui deities are intricately carved onto a single divine pillar. The presiding Tai Sui deity for the year is then identified with a special plaque placed on the dedicated position. This distinctive practice is both fascinating and spiritually significant, making it well worth a visit to experience its uniqueness.

Every year-end, Cheng Sheng Temple hosts charitable events to care for the underprivileged, including providing scholarships to encourage education and holding calligraphy sessions to gift spring couplets, adding festive cheer for the Lunar New Year. Temple Chairman and City Councilor Liu Sheng-Chuan stated that, inspired by the values of Holy Emperor Guan's loyalty and benevolence, the temple will continue its winter charitable giving initiatives, ensuring that the seeds of kindness are nurtured and passed on for generations to come.

To welcome the Year of the Snake 2025, registration is now open for Peace Prayers and the Dipper Rituals, as well as for lighting Blessing Lanterns, including Illumination Lanterns, Fortune God Lanterns, Wenchang Lanterns, and Tai Sui Offerings. Cheng Sheng Temple is a must-visit destination during the Lunar New Year for festive blessings. A series of vibrant New Year prayer and cultural activities will take place, inviting devotees to come and experience the lively atmosphere. Visitors are encouraged to offer incense, enjoy the sight of passing planes, admire the bald cypress trees, and pray for peace and well-being.

This year, Cheng Sheng Temple presents the lantern festival under the theme "Stellar Deities and Cosmic Adventures," offering a captivating journey through the vastness of space while seamlessly blending with traditional faith. Visitors can immerse themselves in a futuristic experience filled with wonder and delightful surprises!

At Zhongli Renhai Temple, also known as the Zhongli Ma, the Heavenly Mother’s compassionate light shines far and wide. Nestled within the ancient red-tiled city, the temple boasts a legacy that spans two centuries and countless generations. The Heavenly Mother brings protection with swift winds, accompanied by shrimp and crab soldiers who guard her devotees. The Seven Stars ritual promises blessings, removing disasters and bringing prosperity, while the God of Wealth bestows gold ingots for great fortune.

The area is built on the belief that God is the singular Creator of the universe, governing all things visible and invisible while spreading the beauty of creation across the world.  This concept is artfully integrated by seamlessly blending light art with the beauty of faith to create a sacred and artistic immersive experience.

Here, every beam of light amidst the interplay of shadows seems to symbolize God’s creation, inviting visitors to experience the mysteries of the universe and the miracles of life.

The exhibition area features four themes: "Creation," "Starry Sky," "Florascape," and "Blue Ocean". Each zone celebrates the wonder and harmony of nature, narrating the majesty and splendor of God’s creation.

"Creation" takes visitors back to the beginning of time, where flowing light and shadows resemble the meeting of morning stars, symbolizing the essence of all life nurtured by God’s hands. "Starry Sky" mirrors the vast cosmic galaxy, with sparks of light shining in the darkness, representing the light and hope God bestowed upon humanity. "Florascape" showcases the vibrancy of the earth, a garden lovingly cultivated by God, where all things flourish in the beauty and colors of life. "Blue Ocean" uses deep blue lighting to depict the boundless sea, symbolizing the unending flow of life and the enduring strength of faith.

Every step through the exhibit brings visitors closer to the beauty of God’s creation and the infinite wisdom behind it.

Blossoms Reveal the Buddha, Five Petals Bring Auspicious Blessings

Enlightenment Illuminates All, Prosperity Flourishes Unceasingly

Yuanguang Temple presents its main lantern, "Blossoms Reveal the Buddha," symbolizing enlightenment and blessings. The unfolding petals represent light spreading in all directions, offering prayers for the nation’s prosperity, harmonious weather, a peaceful society, and the well-being of its people.

Taoyuan Huguo Temple is the largest temple dedicated to the Third Prince Nezha in northern Taiwan. The temple venerates Marshal Nezha, also known as the Third Prince, as its principal deity and is home to the nation’s largest clay sculpture of Nezha, a striking symbol of devotion and spiritual strength.
The Third Prince Nezha, known as the guardian deity of children, extends his benevolent spirit to this year’s lantern festival. Embracing Nezha's compassion and care, the festival invites both children and adults to seek his blessings for peace and protection. Under Nezha’s watchful guidance, everyone can joyfully welcome the new year with hope and happiness.

At Taoyuan Huguo Temple, blessings are extended to all for good health and family peace during the Year of the Snake.

The temple venerates the Golden Mother of the Jade Lake, also known as Queen Mother of the West, Golden Mother, or simply Mother Deity, dedicated to promoting compassion and universal salvation. 

Established in 1952 by founder Chen Ching-Fu, who brought the deity's spiritual presence from Hualien’s Sacred Cihhuei Hall, it was restructured in 1965 as Corporation Cihhuei Hall, Chungli City, Taoyuan County, Taiwan.

The temple also worships a host of deities, including the Five Emperors, Dimu Niangniang, Taishang Laojun, Jiutian Xuannu, Guanyin Bodhisattva, Zhusheng Niangniang, Wenchang Dijun, and Heavenly Holy Mother Mazu.

A unique feature of Cihhuei Hall is its single incense burner and the tradition of worshippers wearing blue robes.

The 18th day of the seventh lunar month marks the birthday celebration of the Heavenly Holy Mother, while the 15th day of the eighth lunar month commemorates the temple's founding anniversary.

Grand Dipper rituals are held in spring and autumn each year. During the first month of the lunar calendar, the temple undertakes a pilgrimage to the main hall in Hualien, followed by a peaceful procession through Zhongli City upon its return, attracting approximately 10,000 participants. This grand event has become a significant cultural occasion in the region. Located in Zhongli’s Zhongxin district, the temple serves as a serene sanctuary amidst the city's hustle and bustle, providing a space for spiritual reflection and devotion.
 

The Tiandijiao Lantern Dance Spring Festival Zone features five stainless steel lantern installations that embody modern trends of environmental sustainability while symbolizing the Five Blessings at Your Doorstep. These lanterns celebrate themes of abundant harvests, joyful butterflies dancing in celebration, blessings of peace and good fortune, peach and plum blossoms marking the Lantern Festival, and the happiness of reunions symbolized by a carriage of togetherness. During peak hours, the zone offers a highly anticipated DIY mini lantern activity, a cherished experience among children and adults, available in limited quantities. Visitors can also explore the blessing area, where 20 types of positive-energy blessing cards are provided, inviting guests to light their own peace lanterns and carry the uplifting energy home. A unique highlight of the zone is the Tiandijiao Lantern Dance, an enchanting performance blending light and music to transform the entire lantern zone into a dynamic, illuminated stage. This immersive experience gracefully lights up Taoyuan’s skyline.

The Sansheng Lantern Blessing Altar is centered on the values of loyalty, bravery, and protection. The design combines light and structural elements to symbolize brightness and hope, creating a spiritual and uplifting experience for visitors.

This design masterfully integrates the religious heritage of Sansheng Temple with the cultural symbolism of lantern art, resulting in a blessing space that is both spiritually meaningful and modern in its aesthetic.

This altar will become a sacred space filled with blessings and strength, guiding worshippers to seek protection and peace in the light.

Main Lantern Design: Taoyuan Cihu Temple is dedicated to Mazu, also known as "Taoyuan Ma". The main lantern design embraces her virtues of compassion, healing, and universal salvation. Inspired by the spirit of Mazu’s boundless love, the design features Mazu holding a heart, with the contemporary phrase "Love You~" highlighting the lantern’s unique appeal. This playful yet meaningful concept aims to capture public attention, particularly among younger generations.

Secondary Lantern Design: The accompanying lanterns depict Qianliyan (Clairvoyance) and Shunfeng’er (Keen Hearing), Mazu’s loyal generals. Presented in a cute and whimsical comic style, the design adds a lighthearted charm while honoring their protective roles.

Taoyuan Jingfu Temple, dedicated to the Kaizhang Shengwang (開漳聖王) along with the Marshal of the Mysterious Altar (玄壇元帥) and other deities, is a significant religious center and a designated historic site. Built in 1745, it has long been a cornerstone of faith in Taoyuan. In 2020, the temple invited the Yue Lao Deity from Taipei Xia Hai City God Temple to aid unmarried individuals in finding their soulmates.

After welcoming the Yue Lao Deity's spiritual presence from Taipei Xia-Hai City God Temple, Jingfu Temple quickly became a popular destination for young people seeking blessings for romance. The temple even organized a matchmaking event titled "Romantic Encounters at Taoyuan Jingfu Temple: Yue Lao Matches You with Love," which sparked widespread online buzz. Slogans like "Singles, let’s go!" and "Sign up quickly, spots fill up fast!" generated significant excitement, making the event a hit.

The growing popularity of the Yue Lao Deity at Taoyuan Jingfu Temple rapidly elevated its reputation. In 2023, the temple earned a spot as the sixth-ranked temple on the list of "Taiwan’s Top Ten Yue Lao Temples."

1. The primary lantern for the Kaizhang Shengwang lantern design incorporates elements tied to recent events. Given the exhibition's proximity to the Rakuten Monkeys' baseball stadium and Taiwan’s national team’s historic victory at the WBSC Premier12 championship, the design reflects these milestones. The lantern features Kaizhang Shengwang holding a baseball in his left hand and gesturing a "strike" sign with his right hand, symbolizing blessings for Taiwan baseball to continue achieving international glory and wishing visitors both good fortune and "good strikes" in life.

2.  The Yue Lao Lantern spreads the message of love and connection. Yue Lao is depicted holding a heart-shaped symbol with the word "LOVE" in English in his right hand, wishing everyone the blessing of giving and receiving love. In his left hand, he makes the trendy "finger heart" gesture, symbolizing a prayer for all to find their perfect match.

The Divine Dragon Emperor is the central theme of the main lantern design, crafted to provide an immersive experience where visitors can walk through the installation. The concept features the Dragon Auspicious Fortune and Prosperity Gate, a symbolic gateway designed to bring blessings and fortune to all who pass through. Atop the gate, the principal deities of Longyuan Temple, including the Divine Dragon Emperor, Heavenly Mother (Mazu), Wenchang Emperor (God of Academic Success), and Martial God of Wealth, are prominently displayed. Walking through the gate allows visitors to feel the majestic power of these gods, symbolizing their comprehensive protection and blessings. The design embodies prayers for peace, academic success, prosperity, and financial fortune, ensuring that the divine grace extends to every facet of life.

“Dreams unfold at the gateway of the nation. May the phoenix soar, bringing peace and prosperity to the country, happiness to everyone, and auspiciousness. Fo Guang Shan Taoyuan Lecture Hall features an 11-meter-high phoenix as the main lantern. Its raised head and soaring posture symbolize ‘wherever it goes, there is a path; wherever it goes, there is light,’ embodying the wish for good fortune to people around the world.”
